A new Story

She never let her epilepsy hold her back, and her single-mindedness meant she went to Brighton University and came out with a BA Hons degree. This was no mean feat as the sort of Epilepsy that she suffered from caused memory loss when she suffered attacks. In fact, despite the condition she lived independently, she would never be quashed, never be brought down, never be suppressed, curbed, blocked, stifled or defeated. She was very liberated, if she wanted to wear weird clothes or have funky hair then she would. She walked to the beat of her own drum. She was very comfortable in her own skin, and perhaps for that reason people loved being around her. She was the life and soul of the party. Carole had just returned from one of her trips abroad. She had been all the way around India, Sri Lanka, Bangkok and Thailand. She felt so free there – so liberated, without doctors prodding her and interfering in her life. She wasn’t allowed to drive in England, but out there she hired a motorbike and loved riding it. Sticking to her rebellious nature. Whilst she was there, and also on her other trips, she helped others – teaching children English, building homes and putting others which such great needs first. Gemma describes her sister as being like a firework: She could be explosive, spontaneous and she needed handling carefully sometimes but she was colourful, exciting, beautiful. And like a firework, she didn’t last forever, her life was short, but she created a lasting impression and left everyone gobsmacked. Carole will be much missed by all who knew her xXx
